Example of a not-so-good pick-up line.
Last weekend, I walked out to the front to my car which was parked in the street. For everyone who hasn't been to our apartment, we live next to a really shady house in which a lot of people (who closely resemble hobos) live. One guy, whom I haven't seen before, came walking out of the backyard with a guitar in his hand and decided to talk to me.
Guy: If I follow you home, will you keep me?
Me: Um...no.
Guy: But you've already got me on a leash.
Me: Uh...no thanks...
At least I laughed a little...while I was in my car driving away.

Now I’m not a baseball fan by any means, BUT I am a Texas fan, so I’ve been watching baseball for the past couple of weeks.
Hook ‘em! We lost last night, sure, but tonight we won with 5 - 1. :) Game 3 tomorrow for the championship! GO HORNS!

South Congress
Work at Acton was pretty enjoyable today. We ordered lunch from Trudy’s and had an intern meeting. Michael was named Alpha Male of our wolf pack, haha. He looked SO smug when they announced this and, of course, he was looking straight at me. He drew me a picture, though.
“Kristin is awesome!” and “It’s a cube…a fast cube.”

Everyone needs a lazy weekend every now and then.
I had a SUPER lazy weekend. Partly because the Republic of Texas was having their annual Biker Rally and downtown is NOT a place I want to be when that is going on. I’ll have more pictures later, but we could see where they were setting up for Robbie Knievel was going to jump over two Budweiser semi-trucks from our office.
Riso, Stan and I actually went down there to see it up close, but...

Zenil and I had another dinner date tonight. We’ve been on this cultural theme and tonight was Italian night. You can never go wrong with Olive Garden! Sometimes we get so caught up in our little problems and conflicts that we forget to realize how much we are blessed to even be alive. Be grateful, folks! It can always be much, much worse.

Today was a typical day at work. Sit around. Run errands. Laugh, laugh, laugh.

New blog!
So I’ve “blogged” before (a.k.a. kept a Livejournal account for years), but definitely need something new to try out. Everyone is using WordPress (and I’m guilty of having a couple accounts on there) and Blogspot, but I’ve decided to use something different.
